Mr Simon Bann first trained in General Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery and Laparoscopic while living in London, England.
He further undertook specialist training at the Royal Marsden, St Mary’s, Chelsea and Westminster and Hammersmith Hospitals, all also in London.
He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer University of Otago.
Simon works as a specialist Upper GI Surgeon both at Wellington and Wakefield Hospitals. His main areas of interest include cancers of the oesophagus and stomach.
He is also an experienced laparoscopic surgeon and routinely performs advanced hollow and solid organ procedures.
